JUNHO, a member of 2PM and an actor, is set to leave JYP Entertainment after 17 years since his debut in the entertainment industry.
On the 20th, JYP Entertainment announced that JUNHO's exclusive contract will end on April 15. The company stated, "After long and thoughtful discussions, both parties have decided not to renew the contract."
JUNHO debuted in 2008 with the group 2PM and has since grown as a solo artist and actor.
JUNHO expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am sincerely thankful for the unwavering support over the past 17 years. I will cherish everything I've received during this time as I move forward."
JYP Entertainment commented, "Based on mutual trust, we have renewed our contract with JUNHO multiple times, sharing many successful seasons together. We are truly grateful to JUNHO for being part of our journey and growth over the past 17 years." They also thanked the fans, saying, "We appreciate the immense love and support from the fans in response to JUNHO's efforts."
JUNHO plans to focus on his activities both domestically and internationally. Even after the end of his exclusive contract, JYP Entertainment will continue to manage his activities in Japan.
