According to his agency, A2Z Entertainment, KCM welcomed his first daughter in 2012 and his second daughter in 2022.
KCM and his non-celebrity wife, who is nine years younger, had their first child in 2012 while they were dating, but they could not have a formal wedding. The agency explained, "At the time, due to being scammed and other overwhelming difficulties, they couldn't get married right away."
Despite not having a wedding, KCM took responsibility and raised his child. As their financial situation improved, he decided they should live together, and in 2021, they registered their marriage. The following year, they welcomed their second child.
Regarding why they did not disclose their marriage even after the birth of their second daughter, the agency stated, "There was a lot of deliberation about whether to reveal the truth, but thinking about the first child who wasn't introduced to the world made them hesitate. We apologize for only now sharing this with the public and fans."
The agency further added, "KCM has worked hard over the past 12 years to build a complete family. He wanted to care for his elderly mother and be with his family," and mentioned that KCM is relieved after revealing the truth.
KCM debuted in 2004 and is known for hit songs like "An Old Love Story" and "Dear My Eunyoung." In 2022, he gained popularity as a member of the project group MSG Wannabe on MBC's "Hangout with Yoo."
KCM has appeared on Channel A's "Sinrang Class" and SBS' "Invitation from Bachelor-again," where he mentioned marrying his wife after a decade-long relationship, but he had not disclosed that they have two children.
