Actor Lee Byung-hun shared his thoughts on working with Yoo Ah-in for the first time.

On the afternoon of the 19th, Lee Byung-hun attended the press screening and conference for the film 'The Match' held at CGV Yongsan in Seoul. He began by saying, "When I first decided to do 'The Match,' I was excited and thrilled to hear about the casting of other roles."

When asked about his first acting collaboration with Yoo Ah-in, he cautiously replied, "I was very curious about working with him for the first time. During filming, I found him to be a more reserved person than I expected. We didn't have many conversations about the scenes or spend much time socializing. We didn't have much time to get to know each other. However, when we rehearsed and acted together on set, his serious demeanor helped me immerse myself in the scenes."

'The Match' is a film that tells the story of Cho Hun-hyun, a legendary Go player in South Korea, played by Lee Byung-hun, who challenges his natural competitive spirit to reclaim the top spot after losing to his student Lee Chang-ho, played by Yoo Ah-in. Lee Byung-hun takes on the role of Cho Hun-hyun, while Yoo Ah-in portrays his student Lee Chang-ho.

The film captivates with its compelling narrative of a master and his student, brought to life by the intense performances of the two actors. Lee Byung-hun vividly expresses the joys and sorrows of Cho Hun-hyun, known as the 'God of Battle,' while Yoo Ah-in delivers a solid and profound performance as Lee Chang-ho, known as the 'God of Calculation.'

'The Match' is finally meeting audiences about four years after filming, due to Yoo Ah-in's drug use controversy, but the fact that it is being released in theaters rather than on OTT platforms is a positive development for the film.
