The younger brother of singer Wheesung expressed gratitude on behalf of his late brother to everyone who was with him in his final moments, asking them not to be sad anymore.
On the 19th, Wheesung's brother, Choi Hyuk-sung, stated, "I would like to thank everyone who joined us despite their busy schedules. Seeing this, I realized that my brother was able to shine brightly because of all of you who supported him."
He continued, "While working with my brother, you may have mostly good memories, but if there are any unpleasant ones, please let them fade away. Please remember Choi Wheesung and never forget the great singer Wheesung."
Wheesung was found deceased at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the 10th. He was 43 years old. About 130 people, including family, colleagues from the music industry, and fans, attended the funeral held on the 16th to bid farewell. The family donated all the monetary gifts received during the funeral in Wheesung's name.
Wheesung's brother added, "My brother is at peace now. He struggled with severe insomnia after becoming a singer, but when I saw him for the last time, he looked like he was finally in a deep, peaceful sleep. So please don't be sad anymore and let him go peacefully in your hearts." He comforted the grieving fans.
Finally, he said, "It would be a great comfort to our family if you continue to listen to his music whenever you have the chance, ensuring it doesn't fade away. Thank you sincerely for seeing my brother off on his journey, and I wish you peace and happiness in all your future endeavors." He concluded.
