YUQI from the group (G)I-DLE has reached the top of China's music charts.
On the 17th, YUQI released her digital single "Radio (Dum-Dum)" on various music platforms. The song was first introduced during her solo performance at the '2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL] IN SEOUL' last year and has now been officially released as a digital single.
Immediately after its release, "Radio (Dum-Dum)" soared to the number one spot in the daily and weekly digital bestseller album charts in the singles category on QQ Music, China's largest music site, drawing significant attention from local fans. In Korea, the song also entered the Melon HOT100 chart, reflecting the enthusiastic response from fans who had eagerly awaited its release.
Additionally, YUQI showcased a live performance of "Radio (Dum-Dum)" on the Genie Music YouTube channel. The video features YUQI in funky attire, passionately performing the song from various angles. Her stage presence, highlighted by a creative arrangement and delicate vocals, evokes the image of a rock star.
"Radio (Dum-Dum)," a self-composed track by YUQI, is a medium-tempo boom bap hip-hop track that impressively blends her deep voice with a trendy melody, showcasing her unique sensibility and boundless musical talent.
Recently, YUQI appeared on JTBC's "Knowing Bros" alongside her fellow group member MINNIE, where she displayed her amazing television show skills.
