Global artist JENNIE has become the first star of Billboard's ICONIC STAGE.
On March 12, Billboard and Billboard Korea released a video featuring JENNIE on their official YouTube channel for the ICONIC STAGE series.
Titled "JENNIE'S ICONIC STAGE: Ruby," the video showcases the making of JENNIE's first solo studio album, "Ruby," including performances of the title track "like JENNIE" and the follow-up song "Handlebars."
Introducing "Ruby," JENNIE shared her dedication to the album, saying, "Creating this album felt like learning to walk for the first time, and I had to learn how to connect with my inner self. There wasn't a single aspect, from music to visuals, styling, message, and lyrics, that I didn't pay attention to."
JENNIE further explained her choice of the title track, saying, "'like JENNIE' is one of the most fun songs on my album. It just makes me feel good and makes me want to dance every time I hear it. So, I thought it was a great way to introduce my album to the world."
JENNIE debuted the "Handlebars" stage, which combines her sweet vocals with a lyrical atmosphere, and then switched gears to deliver a powerful performance of "like JENNIE," showcasing her contrasting charms.
Later on March 15, JENNIE is set to host "The Ruby Experience" show at Inspire Arena, Incheon, to celebrate the release of "Ruby."
