Vocalist K.will has reached his 18th anniversary since debut.
His agency, Starship Entertainment, released a celebratory image on K.will's official social media channels today (March 6) to mark the occasion.
The image showcases K.will's diverse charm, from a professional look as an office worker to a casual style that exudes naturalness, reflecting his dynamic career.
K.will debuted on March 6, 2007, with his first studio album "Left Chest." He rose to prominence as a "trusted and talented vocalist" with numerous hit songs, including the title track "Gripping and Gripping" from his second album released in 2009, as well as "Please Don't..." in 2012 and "Love Blossom" in 2013. Last May, he entered the "Billions Silver Club" after surpassing 2 billion cumulative streams on Melon, South Korea's largest music streaming platform, and solidified his status as a "national treasure balladeer" with his mini-album "All The Way" released in June, which featured deeper emotions and honest storytelling.
K.will has also consistently made his mark in the OST scene. Notably, his songs "Beautiful in My Life" from the 2018 JTBC drama "The Beauty Inside" and "Say! What?" from the 2016 KBS2 drama "Descendants of the Sun" continue to be beloved tracks. His unique vocal tone adds depth to the narratives of these works, earning him the title of "OST Master" and further solidifying his influence.
True to his reputation as a "hit song maker," K.will's power shines on stage. Last year, he captivated audiences with a relay of his hit songs during his small theater concert "All The Way." Recently, he participated in the Korean cultural experience event "Korea Season In Korea 360" held in Dubai, UAE, delivering a stellar performance that thrilled global fans and elevated the status of K-pop.
K.will's passion for music extends to musical theater as well. He starred as Quasimodo in the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" in both 2016 and 2018, showcasing his strong vocals and compelling acting, which earned him the Best Newcomer Award at the 11th Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF). Following his debut in "The Great Comet" in 2021, he will reprise his role as Pierre in the same musical in May 2024, further establishing his presence as a musical actor.
In addition, K.will launched his YouTube channel "Hyungsoo is K.will" last September. Through this channel, he shares various content every Wednesday, including "Hyungsoo's Private Life" and "Know Hyungsoo," showcasing a different side of himself beyond being a singer. Notably, "Know Hyungsoo" has gained popularity, featuring his witty sense of humor and smooth hosting skills, resulting in it becoming a trending video.
K.will expressed his thoughts through his agency, saying, "I can't believe it's already been 18 years since my debut. It feels like I've been running hard all this time, and I think I can sing for so long thanks to our Hyungnight (official fan club name) who have always been by my side. I'm so grateful and love you all. I will repay everyone who listens to my songs and supports me with even better music and more amazing activities, so please look forward to it."
Meanwhile, K.will released a video titled "K.will 18th Commentary" on "Hyungsoo is K.will" on the 5th, reflecting on his journey and the concert preparation process, adding more meaning to his 18th anniversary. He plans to continue showcasing diverse content every Wednesday at 5:30 PM on "Hyungsoo is K.will."
