SBS's 'Curious Story Y' is set to uncover the truth behind tiger sightings.

In the episode airing on the 7th, 'Curious Story Y' will follow the reality behind the tiger sightings.

In a village in Cheongsong, Gyeongbuk, there are many strange stories associated with the back mountain. There have been reports of people going missing after climbing the mountain, and brave hunting dogs suddenly fleeing in terror, leading to eerie tales circulating around the foothills. What exactly is happening in this village?

A local resident, Mr. Na, discovered suspicious traces on the road at the foot of the mountain and guided the 'Curious Story Y' production team to the site. On the cold concrete surface, there were clear paw prints of an unknown animal. Measuring 11 cm in diameter with a stride of about 80 cm, the prints showed four distinct toes and a rounded heel. Mr. Na believes the prints belong to a tiger. He described the creature as "well-built yet slender, with piercing blue eyes. I saw it myself."

Mr. Na claims he encountered a tiger six years ago while visiting his mother's grave. He insists he has evidence. For several years, large and suspicious paw prints have been found in the village's perilla and barley fields, and there are clear claw marks on nearby trees, suggesting the presence of a feline. Additionally, traces of feces presumed to belong to a carnivore and animal carcasses have been discovered about 300 meters from the village at the mountain's edge. Is there really a tiger living in this area?

To capture the truth, Mr. Jang has installed over 20 observation cameras in the mountains three weeks prior, but what is the true identity of this rumored creature?

However, the last confirmed sighting of a tiger in Korea was in 1921 at Daedeoksan in Gyeongju. The Ministry of Environment officially declared the tiger extinct in 1996. Wildlife experts have investigated numerous reports over the years but have never confirmed any traces of a tiger, expressing skepticism about the claims.

The production team decided to examine the paw prints in the concrete with an expert. Suddenly, the expert became busy in front of the prints. Who is the owner of these paw prints, and will they be able to find evidence of a wild tiger?

Follow the tiger sightings on 'Curious Story Y' airing on Friday, the 7th, at 9 PM.
