The film 'Secret That Cannot Be Told' has made a remarkable leap in its second week of release, claiming the top spot in pre-sales.

According to the Korea Film Council's ticket sales data on the 6th, 'Secret That Cannot Be Told' achieved a pre-sale rate of 21.9%, slightly surpassing the current box office leader 'Broken' at 16.6%.

'Secret That Cannot Be Told' is a fantasy romance film that captures a miraculous moment when Yu-jun and Jung-ah accidentally meet in a campus practice room where the secrets of time are hidden. This film is a remake of the Taiwanese movie of the same name, starring Do Kyung-soo and Won Jin-ah.

Released on January 27, the day before the Lunar New Year holiday, 'Secret That Cannot Be Told' initially struggled in the box office, ranking third behind 'Hitman 2' and 'The Black Nuns' during the holiday period. However, it has shown signs of a comeback starting in its second week. While it currently ranks third in the box office behind 'Broken' and 'Hitman 2', it is leading in pre-sales and aiming for a reversal.

Notably, the audience rating has remained in the high 8s, raising expectations for word-of-mouth promotion. There is growing interest in whether the positive reviews from actual viewers will translate into ticket sales and viewership.

As of now, 'Secret That Cannot Be Told' has accumulated 410,000 viewers. Having passed the halfway mark to its break-even point of approximately 800,000 viewers, this weekend's audience numbers will be crucial.
