[SBS Star] Lee Dong Gun Smiles as Ro-ah Says Sundays Are Her Favorite Because She Sees Him

Actor Lee Dong Gun excitedly shared how much his daughter, Ro-ah, told him she enjoys the time she spends with him. 

On February 2 episode of SBS' television show "My Little Old Boy," Lee Dong Gun was shown taking a family trip to Hongcheon, Gangwon-do, to celebrate the Lunar New Year. 

Lee Dong Gun decided to plan the trip after hearing his parents say, "We always think of our second child during the holidays."

His younger brother tragically passed away in an accident while studying in Sydney, Australia, 17 years ago.

The trip began in a heavy silence. Since the family is not very talkative, even the gifts Lee Dong Gun had prepared could not break the awkward quiet in the car.
To lighten the mood, Lee Dong Gun offered his parents rice balls made with the same recipe he had used for Ro-ah before.

Lee Dong Gun's father then asked, "Won't Ro-ah be busy when she starts second grade?" Lee Dong Gun laughed and replied, "What could a second grader possibly be busy with? I meet Ro-ah every Sunday."

He added with a smile, "Last week when we went to an indoor playground together, I heard her say she likes Sundays the most. She said it's because it's the day she gets to see me. When people ask her what day she likes best, she apparently always says, 'I like Sundays the most because I get to meet my dad.'" 
The conversation about Ro-ah continued as they rode the gondola at the ski resort later on. 

Lee Dong Gun said, "When Ro-ah gets older, it'd be great to take her skiing," and his mother chimed in, "Yes, you should definitely do activities like that often." 

When his mother praised Ro-ah, saying, "Ro-ah seems to have so many talents. She draws, sings, dances, and speaks really well," Lee Dong Gun flatly responded, "She's not particularly good at anything though," then chuckled.
Lee Dong Gun married actress Cho Yoonhee in 2017, and they welcomed their daughter Ro-ah the same year.

However, the couple divorced in 2020, and Ro-ah currently lives with Cho Yoonhee; she was granted custody.
