[SBS Star] IVE WONYOUNG Opens Up About Dealing with Malicious Comments
WONYOUNG of K-pop girl group IVE shared her thoughts on malicious comments on "You Quiz on the Block."

On January 13, a preview for the upcoming episode of tvN's talk show "You Quiz on the Block" featuring WONYOUNG and another IVE member YUJIN was released online.

WONYOUNG, who first gained attention at just 15 as the winner of Mnet's survival audition show "Produce 48," has built a thriving career as a member of "Produce 48" project group IZ*ONE and now as a member of IVE.

Reflecting on her debut, she shared, "The casting director who recruited me left the agency just three days later. I remember thinking, maybe this was meant to be."

Despite her status as a beloved K-pop star at the height of her career, WONYOUNG has also been the target of malicious comments.

Addressing this, she shared, "There are a lot of things I end up hearing against my will. Sometimes, I don't even want to hear them, but people judge me based on just a few seconds of video. They don't know me as a person..." then she paused for a bit.

After a moment of silence, WONYOUNG added, "They say there's no pain without reward. This too shall pass. That's just how life is. I started thinking that way."

YUJIN, WONYOUNG's longtime teammate from IZ*ONE to IVE, also opened up about the challenges she faced after her debut.

Entering the K-pop industry at just 16, YUJIN reflected on the struggles of her early debut days and shared how she overcame them.

In the preview, she remarked, "I think experiencing such challenges at such a young age was my first real trial," sparking curiosity about her journey.
