[SBS Star] Kim Soo Hyun, Who Did Not Even Know Byeon Woo-seok Was Eclipse, Says They Are Close Now

Actor Kim Soo Hyun, who once did not realize that actor Byeon Woo Seok portrayed Eclipse—the fictional K-pop band in tvN's hit series "Lovely Runner"—recently shared that they have grown close.

On December 27, the Asia Artist Awards were held in Bangkok, Thailand.

At the event, Byeon Woo Seok won the Best Soundtrack Award for "Sudden Shower," a song he performed as Ryu Sun Jae, the lead vocalist of Eclipse in "Lovely Runner."

When Byeon Woo Seok's name was announced, both he and Kim Soo Hyun, seated on adjacent sofas, stood up—Byeon Woo Seok to express his gratitude and Kim Soo Hyun to congratulate him.

However, in a hilariously awkward moment, Kim Soo Hyun looked toward the K-pop artists' seating area as though searching for Eclipse, seemingly unaware that Byeon Woo Seok was standing right next to him as the winner. 

Even when they made eye contact, it appeared Kim Soo Hyun still had not connected the dots.

This moment of Kim Soo Hyun's adorable cluelessness quickly went viral online.

Later, additional footage from the Asia Artist Awards surfaced, showing Kim Soo Hyun and Byeon Woo Seok chatting, laughing, and leaning in to speak with each other, clearly enjoying their conversation.

Fans, curious about their growing friendship, asked Kim Soo Hyun through his official fan community, "Oppa, are you close to Byeon Woo Seok now?"

Kim Soo Hyun replied, "Yeah, we're now in a mutual-like relationship."

Fans could not help but smile at his reply and have enthusiastically begun shipping this new bromance.
