[SBS Star] Solar Shares How She Felt When All 4 MAMAMOO Could Not Renew Their Contracts Together

Solar of K-pop girl group shared how she felt when all the group members could not renew their contracts together.

On December 26, a video featuring Solar as a guest was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Imitation Queen."

The video showed the host Lee Su-ji asking Solar, "When MAMAMOO members didn't renew their contracts, did you all respect each other's decisions?"

Solar honestly responded, "I can't decide the future paths of the members. Of course, I wanted us to stay together, but I believed it was important to respect each other's decisions. Even now, I think respecting their choices was the right thing to do."

Lee Su-ji, however, expressed her hope for a reunion, saying, "Please reunite soon though! We're all waiting for it to happen!"

Solar, ever optimistic, responded, "Since we're all working on our individual activities, it's really challenging to align our schedules. But I would love to reunite with the girls anytime if the opportunity arises."
MAMAMOO, consisting of Solar, Hwa Sa, Moon Byul, and Whee In, debuted in June 2014 with their digital single "Don't Be Happy" and quickly gained attention for their incredible performance skills and unique sound. 

Over the years, the group has released numerous hit songs, earned prestigious awards, and solidified their place as one of the most influential K-pop girl groups in the industry.

However, the group's dynamics have changed in recent years, with members now signed to different agencies. 

In June 2021, during the first contract renewal season, Whee In decided not to renew her contract with RBW Entertainment and signed with THE L1VE Label in August of the same year. This marked the beginning of changes within the group's structure.

A year later, in June 2022, Hwa Sa also chose not to renew her contract with RBW Entertainment and moved to P NATION. 

With these changes, the members of MAMAMOO have been pursuing individual projects, although the group's bond remains strong.
