On December 27, Ryu Seonghyun took to his Instagram to share his feelings as he recently became a married man.
"I'm sincerely grateful to everyone who was there to celebrate us on our happy day despite hectic schedules.", the actor wrote.
"Please forgive us for the many hiccups on the day due to our inexperience. To repay the generosity you've shown us, we'd live as happily as we promised in front of many people."
On December 21, Ryu Seonghyun tied the knot with his girlfriend at a wedding venue in Seoul.
The actor posted footage from his wedding day on his Instagram, sharing how joyous the atmosphere was.
The groom seemed very happy in the video, running around the wedding aisle, shouting, "I'm getting married!"

Ryu Seonghyun introduced his girlfriend on the show and shared a story about how he met her.
"We met through a soccer gathering. Since she's such a beautiful woman, I had my eye on her for about three years. But she was dating someone throughout those years."
Ryu Seonghyun said he mustered the courage and told her how he felt after learning she had broken up with her then-boyfriend.

"He didn't like the idea so much that he said he'll disown me if I marry him.", she remarked.
Ryu Seonghyun's father-in-law said on the show, "He'll be in his 60s when my daughter is in her 40s. In the past, they said you were practically on your way to the grave when you were 60 or 70. I didn't like him one bit."

Through their conversation, however, the father-in-law began to open up to the actor and candidly expressed the reason behind his worries over Ryu Seonghyun marrying his daughter.
Ryu Seonghyun's father-in-law referred to the actor as "a family", and the two seemed closer than before.

The actor also gave an impressive performance on KBS' historical drama 'Korea–Khitan War' (2023).
