[SBS Star] "She's Too Good for Me" Song Joong Ki Goes On & On About How Amazing His Wife Is

Actor Song Joong Ki went on and on about how amazing his wife, former British actress Katy Louise Saunders, is.

On December 26 episode of the YouTube show "Hello, This Is Choi Hwa-jeong," Song Joong Ki made a guest appearance.  

During the talk with the host Choi Hwa-jeong, Song Joong Ki spoke endlessly about his wife. 

Song Joong Ki revealed, "My wife has lived in Italy her whole life, so when I'm not filming, we stay in Italy. Our child speaks Italian, and there are many times I can't understand what he's saying. It's put some pressure on me, so I've started studying the language. My wife is learning Korean, and her language skills are seriously amazing. She's learning so fast that she even tells my mom, 'Mother, eat food.' Yes, it's not perfect, but isn't that just so cute?"

He continued, "Everyone knows how much Koreans value manners, but my wife takes it even further—she's way stricter about etiquette and respect than I am. I actually get scolded a lot. One time, my manager was waiting for me, and after he left, my wife said, 'Who do you think you are, making someone wait like that?'" 
The actor resumed, "My mother-in-law is Colombian, so my wife can cook Colombian food. Her father is British, so she can also cook British dishes. And since she's lived in Italy her whole life, she can make Italian cuisine too. One of her best friends from high school is Korean, whose mother happens to be a classmate of Chef Park Chan-il at culinary school. My wife learned to cook all my favorite dishes from her—like abalone porridge and bibimbap." 

Laughing, he added, "Those who know us often say that my wife is far above me in every way. She's too good for me, and I know it." 

Song Joong Ki also talked about their children, saying, "Our son is 18 months old now, and I feel incredibly lucky, all thanks to my wife. These days, I'm completely in love with our newborn daughter. After she was born, my wife joked, 'You're the king of the world now.'"
