On December 12, actress Chae Jung-an posted a video with Jang Na-ra on her YouTube channel.
During their conversation, Chae Jung-an asked Jang Na-ra what moment made her fall in love with acting.
Jang Na-ra explained, "My father was a theater actor, so I was frequently exposed to acting. Watching my father, I often thought, 'I want to win him with acting.'"
She continued, "When I was little, he was a hero to me in that sense. Even though I was just a child who didn't know anything, I was so jealous of him. He really annoyed me. I imitated everything my dad did—the way he wrote, the way he walked," expressing her admiration.
Jang Na-ra shared, "Even if it was just a compliment that he didn't mean, hearing that felt like I had completely a huge challenge in life, like I had climbed a mountain. When I lay down to sleep at night, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I felt so good, and there was a fluttering feeling inside me."
Jang Na-ra said, "It was a huge gift for me to have the chance to play that kind of character. The script did portray her with colder vibes, but I really enjoyed playing her. I thought, 'I guess all my hard work has paid off, getting to play a role like this.'"
She continued, "As filming progressed, I tried to add more depth to the character, and while it was fun, no matter what I did, my acting didn't seem to improve. I started to wonder if I had reached my limit."
She went on to reveal, "While I was still filming the drama, I even asked my husband, 'What do you think about me quitting acting?' He said, 'I think I'd be sad.' And right away, I thought, 'Okay,' and let go of that idea. 'Good Partner' was a project where I didn't know what to do, so I let go and relied on the people I worked with, especially Nam Ji-hyun, to help shape the character."
