On November 27, SOYEON guested on a YouTube show "BIBIM-POP" by "Dingo FreeStyle."
During the show, SOYEON shared insights into her involvement in the group's albums as the producer.
She said, "I write lyrics, compose songs, and source tracks that fit the album. While I can't say, 'I handle everything,' I do oversee the overall process. I communicate with staff, handle marketing, develop concepts, and even coordinate with directors for music videos."
She then shared, "After (G)I-DLE broke our best record with 'DUMDi DUMDi,' the song I made, I gradually became more and more involved in album production. If I were to say a little more about 'DUMDi DUMDi,' our agency staff and even the members didn't really feel the song was good at first. They didn't want to release it. But I pushed for it, even meeting with the head of our agency."

Hwang So-yoon commented, "It seems like you have a significant role in CUBE Entertainment. Do you plan on parting ways with the company? Be honest with us."
SOYEON chuckled and responded, "Well, I haven't left yet. We're still discussing the matter."
She added, "I'm not sure how things will turn out yet. But the members and I want to make music in the best possible environment, which is why the discussions are taking so long. We're deliberating on what would allow us to work in the most enjoyable and supportive setting."
"As both a producer and leader, the team always comes first. Being in our seventh year, I feel like a mother now. The members feel like my kids and my closest friends. I'm looking for the best way for us to succeed together. I want to resolve things as soon as possible, hopefully within November. I want to end this period of uncertainty quickly," she concluded.
CUBE Entertainment recently confirmed that SOYEON's contract expired late last month and that discussions about her renewal are ongoing.
