[SBS Star] ITZY RYUJIN Laughs at Crush's Meme About Him Needing to Pay More Tax as He Is Dating JOY

RYUJIN of K-pop girl group ITZY laughingly mentioned singer Crush's meme about him having to pay extra tax because he is dating JOY of another girl group Red Velvet during live, and a lot of fans think this was rude. 

On October 4, RYUJIN and her fellow member YEJI went live on NAVER V LIVE.

During the live broadcast, RYUJIN and YEJI went through the comment section and read some out loud.

While doing so, RYUJIN came across a comment that randomly brought up Crush's relationship with JOY. 

The comment that RYUJIN read out was, "Crush should pay more tax."; these words derive from a meme that was made following their dating news. 

Crush and JOY became close after working on a special collaborative song 'Mayday' in May 2020. 

They were friends at first, but revealed that they started dating each other last year; they made their romantic relationship official in August 2021. 
As soon as RYUJIN read it out, she burst out laughing.  

YEJI tilted her head in confusion, as she did not get what it meant. 

RYUJIN quietly said to her, "It's because he is dating JOY." 

Still did not understand the joke, YEJI asked, "Yes, but what about it?" 

RYUJIN explained once again, "So, that's why people are saying that he should pay more tax." 

Finally, YEJI got what it meant and went, "Oh, I get it now. I had no idea what it meant." 
This particular part of the live broadcast was much talked-about among K-pop fans afterwards. 

They discussed whether it was rude for her to talking about Crush like that when she could have just ignored the comment, and even adding JOY to the conversation. 

Many are saying things like, "It's not very thoughtful of her to mention them like that.", "Definitely a little inappropriate.", "It seems slightly rude, indeed.", "Rude, but it was a mistake. Just be more cautious of what you say from now on, unnie!" and more.
