[SBS Star] Park Min Young Reportedly Dating a Wealthy Businessman in Veil; Agency Responds

Actress Park Min Young's agency has shared their brief response to her dating reports.

On September 28, Dispatch reported that Park Min Young is in a relationship with a wealthy businessman named Kang Jong-hyun.

According to the report, Kang Jong-hyun owns a company called Vidente, the largest shareholder of Bithumb Holdings; Korea's second-largest cryptocurrency trading platform.
It is also said that Kang Jong-hyun is tightly connected to Chorokbaem Media, which acquired Park Min Young's current management agency, Hook Entertainment.

Back in December 2021, Park Min Young signed her exclusive contract with Hook Entertainment, immediately after her contract with Namoo Actors came to an end.

Dispatch stated that they have been tracking Kang Jong-hyun's past, and raised suspicions that Kang Jong-hyun is a "highly reclusive" person for someone with such wealth.

He was also involved in a fraud case between 2013 and 2014, and was found guilty of fraud and forgery of private documents.

In 2014 and 2015, he was involved in a roundabout loan scheme with a financial institution, and he still has 12 billion won (approximately 8.42 million dollars) that has still not been paid.
As the suspicions continue to grow, Park Min Young's agency Hook Entertainment shared their brief statement.

The agency said, "Park Min Young is busy filming her drama 'Love in Contact' at the moment, so it is taking a while to confirm the facts. We ask for your understanding in not being able to relay an exact statement quickly."
