[SBS Star] Song Joong Ki Surprises Everyone with a Completely Different Look in His Upcoming Drama

Korean actor Song Joong Ki is about to make a small screen comeback as a completely different character to his past movies/dramas.

On April 17, the production team of tvN's upcoming drama 'Arthdal Chronicles' dropped eye-catching photos of Song Joong Ki taken while he was filming the drama. In the photos, Song Joong Ki looks wild in the forest with face painting, messy hair, and ripped leather clothing.

You can almost feel the warmth coming out of the photo where he pets his horse, but he turns into a person with a fierce look when he is on it.

Song Joong Ki certainly looks very different to all his past projects such as 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal' (2010), 'Descendants of the Sun' (2016), 'The Battleship Island' (2017), and more. Previously on April 12, a 15-seconds teaser video clip of the drama was released online.

The high quality computer graphics as well as dramatic tension caught the eye of many, especially those people who had been waiting to catch a glimpse of the drama ever since the production had kicked off. 'Arthdal Chronicles' is a fantasy drama that will depict a story taking place in an ancient fictional city of Arthdal, where people are determined to turn Arthdal into an ideal nation.

Song Joong Ki has been cast to play 'Eun-seom', an unlucky person who everyone believed would bring bad luck to Arthdal from birth.

The drama is expected to air its first episode in June.
