[SBS Star] Gong Yoo Shows a Positive Sign for the Second Season of 'Guardian'?

Actor Gong Yoo greeted his upcoming birthday in Taiwan and revealed thoughts for being in the second season of his previous hit drama 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God'.

According to a media outlet, Gong Yoo visited Taipei, Taiwan on June 24 to join a brand's event. On top of his participation in the event, the brand also held a special birthday party for Gong Yoo's upcoming birthday in July. Gong Yoo, surprised by the unexpected party, reportedly said, "Thank you so much. I can't believe that I'm already 40 in Korean age. Everyone, I'm 40."

When he was asked to make birthday wishes, Gong Yoo kindly considered the participants of place first by saying, "First of all, I want all of you to be always happy and stay healthy."

Then he reportedly added, "I would like to be in another great project. My wish is to be back on screen with another impressive work." When the host of the event asked him, "Are you willing to be in the second season of 'Guardian'?", he reportedly showed a positive sign. Gong Yoo reacted, "I don't think they have plans to make another season, but do you think they would ask me to be in the drama again?".

The host passionately responded to the question, "Of course! Who would take your role?".

Satisfied with the answer, Gong Yoo said, "Then I would gladly take the role. There's no reason I wouldn't be in the drama."

His fans and the participants of the event fervently reacted to Gong Yoo's positive response.
