[SBS Star] Bang Si-hyuk Chosen to be 'International Music Leader of 2018'

Producer Bang Si-hyuk was reportedly chosen to be one of the 'International Music Leaders of 2018' from an American magazine.

The renowned American magazine Variety presented the list of game changers, the ones who heavily influence and reorganize the music industry, at the biggest music convention 'MIDEM' held in Caen, France from June 5 to June 8.

The title 'International Music Leader' signifies the uprising leaders who will lead the upcoming music industry along to the changing trend.

Variety commented, "We've made a list of 23 game changers who have amazing creativity and perceptions in music. They are the passionate leaders who perfectly fit to lead the music industry." It continued, saying, "Bang founded Big Hit Entertainment 13 years ago, but 2018 will mark the year its boy band BTS solidifies as the K-pop act that is also a global pop force."

The magazine added, "The septet's new album 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear' is on its way to making history for Korean artists as it battles Post Malone for the No.1 spot in the U.S." Variety highlighted, "This after 201's 'LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her' moved 1.6 million copies worldwide. BTS' world tour hits America this fall, with four dates already sold out at L.A.'s Staples Center."

The incredibly grown popularity of Bang Si-hyuk's group BTS has absolutely given impacts on the international communities to recognize the value of producer Bang.

Meanwhile, Bang Si-hyuk was also chosen to be one of the 'International Power Players' by Billboard last month.
