[SBS Star] BTS JIN's Grandmother Passes Away

K-pop boy group BTS' member JIN's grandmother has passed away.

On June 10, BTS' management agency Big Hit Entertainment shared the news on the official website for the group's fans.

They said, "JIN heard that his grandmother on his mother's side has passed away after pre-recording session for SBS' music show 'Inkigayo'. He then quickly left the studio." It is assumed that Big Hit Entertainment and BTS' members kindly offered JIN to go see his family members as soon as he could.

As a result, only six members of BTS were present at the end of 'Inkigayo' when the group won first place at a music show for the 12th time with 'FAKE LOVE'.
Big Hit Entertainment added, "We deeply apologize to fans about JIN not staying until the end of the show. We would like to express our condolences to JIN and his family." Meanwhile, BTS is planning to meet its fans at a special fan meeting '2018 BTS PROM PARTY' on June 13 in Seoul.
