[SBS Star] BTS RM Releases a Story Behind the Song 'FAKE LOVE'

RM from K-pop boy group BTS expressed gratitude for producer Bang Shi-hyuk with a story behind the title track 'FAKE LOVE'.

On May 28, RM held the online livestream 'RM : LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear Behind' via V LIVE and released various stories behind the group's latest album.

In the beginning of the livestream, RM said with humble attitude, "Thank you so much for your love and support. BTS topped the Billboard 200 chart!".

RM continued, saying, "We always write songs after we have a clear theme for our new albums. That's why it was so hard to produce songs."

He added, "Just like the member SUGA has said before, I loved the beat of 'FAKE LOVE' as soon as it was out." Yet RM noted, "But because the beat was so unique, I had to make the melody of the song for 20 times."

He thanked producer Bang, saying, "You know what? Producer Bang is just amazing. Although 'FAKE LOVE' sounded great from the start, we doubted whether we could have a great performance with the song."

RM underscored, "Title tracks are always challenging because they should have great dance moves as well. Producer Bang eventually solved the struggle we had." With the comment, RM unveiled the first demo version of 'FAKE LOVE'.

He noted, "It was more depressing at first, and we didn't have any sound of the guitar that embellishes the song. 'FAKE LOVE' has much higher keys now that sound completely different from the original version."

After RM released these interesting stories related to the BTS' latest album, the group's member JUNGKOOK and JIN also made a surprise visit to RM's studio. The members' unexpected appearance on the show also caught the eyes of the public on top of RM's release of the story behind the group's latest title track and album.

Meanwhile, BTS has left groundbreaking records as a K-pop artist. The latest album 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear' has topped the Billboard 200 chart and the title track 'FAKE LOVE' landed on top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart today.
