[SBS Star] CNBLUE's Lee Jung Shin Gets Upset with His Stan's Behavior
Lee Jung Shin from K-pop boy band CNBLUE aggressively responded to his stan's excessive behavior.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, a stan is defined to be someone who greatly admires a singer/ famous person to an extent that is unusual.

Although it is ordinary for fans to express love towards their favorite celebrities, sometimes their love may be too extreme.

The case of Lee Jung Shin with his fans is an example of the relationship between celebrities and their fans with excessive admiration.

On April 25, Lee Jung Shin left a message on his social media account to publicize the incident with his fans.

He said, "Isn't it illicit to receive money and tell my fans about the information of my plane schedules?".

Lee Jung Shin continued, "Do you think you should do such thing? I'm telling the one who asks to get the information and the one who receives money and leaks my schedule."

He ended his comment, saying, "I really don't want to say this, but please, don't spread out my personal information."

His comment was from his fans getting on the same plane with him when he was on his way to visit Switzerland.

The stans, widely known as 'sasaengs' in Korea are known to follow every schedule of their celebrities by getting on the same transportation.

They use social media outlets, unofficial websites for the celebrities' plane schedule, get on the same plane, and move to the destination with their stars.

The fans also relentlessly observe and talk to their admiring celebrities. The photos taken without consents from the celebrities are also commonly seen.

On September 2017, K-pop boy group Wanna One had the same struggle as Lee Jung Shin.

When the members of the group were on plane, some of their fans secretly took photos of the members that frame the moment when they go to bathroom or get some sleep.

Wanna One's agency YMC Entertainment has responded to the case by saying, "When they were on plane, the members of Wanna One were extremely stressed out by their fan's unexpected actions."

It continued, "People on the plane also complained about the issue as well. We will take legal steps and strictly respond to the behaviors from now on."

From the illegal exchange of celebrities' information, several stars are going through an invasion of privacy, and alternatives to the action must be taken as soon as possible.
