The title of actor Jung Hae In and actress Son Ye-jin's new drama is revealed to be inspired by celebrity couple Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo.
On March 28, cast of JTBC's new drama 'Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food' (literal translation) held a press conference in Yeongdeungpo-dong, Seoul.
During the event, the drama's producing director Ahn Pan-seok explained how he came up with such unique title of the drama.
Producer Ahn said, "I was browsing through the Internet and came across the phrase, 'Noona (older female) who buys me food'. The phrase was actually from Song Hye Kyo's interview. I thought it was really witty."
Before her engagement with Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo remarked the phrase during her interview, "To Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In, I'm just a good noona who buys them food."
Meanwhile, 'Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food' illustrates how two acquaintances develop their romantic relationship as time goes by.
The drama's first episode airs on March 30.
