[SBS Star] Red Velvet's IRENE Reveals Why She Likes Purple Color

Although her group's name is 'Red' Velvet, Red Velvet's member IRENE is known to be a purple-lover among her fans.
Recently, IRENE has shared the reason behind her special attachment towards the color purple.

On March 25, IRENE met up with her fans for a birthday party ahead of her birthday on March 29.

During her birthday party with hundreds of fans, IRENE disclosed some stories about her high school days.
IRENE said, "I am rather an introvert person, so I don't have many friends. But when I was in 11th grade, there was a new female student who just transferred from different high school."

She explained, "She was in the class right next to mine, and I liked her so much for some reason. I never had a chance to talk to her at that time, but I borrowed her gym clothes on purpose."

She continued, "Then we became classmates in 12th grade, and we've become close friends ever since. One day I asked what her favorite color is, and she said it's purple. So I started to like it too. Purple is so meaningful to me."
According to her fans, IRENE even left a special thank you note to the friend on Red Velvet's album, by mentioning her as "My purple friend".

Meanwhile, Red Velvet is scheduled to visit Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, to perform its songs along with other renowned K-pop artists.
