[SBS Star] Kim Heechul Confesses that He Cannot Fully Participate in Super Junior's Comeback; Label Denies

K-pop boy group Super Junior's Kim Heechul wrote a message to his long-awaited fans that he is unable to fully participate in Super Junior's comeback promotions.

On October 17, Kim Heechul posted a long letter for the fans on his Instagram, explaining he is still suffering from the side effects of the car accident 11 years ago.
Kim Heechul's full message is as follows:

"First of all, I am writing this with an apologetic mind to my fellow members, as I promised not to write something mysterious on my social media.

As many of you already know, I am unable to use my left leg properly due to a car accident happened 11 years ago.

However, I have been enjoying participating in various promotions ever since, trying to have fun while the pain is still ongoing.

But I guess a lot of time has passed by, I am becoming more fearful. Like I said at 'Life Bar' recently, my ankle pain is starting to get worse.

Sometimes people around me says, 'Come on, it's been ten years already so it should be healed by now' or 'You are just making excuses because you don't want to dance'.

I forced myself to smile and just move on, because I lived a stable, happy life thanks to many variety shows that I made appearance ever since my debut.

I tried to have positive attitude and control my mind by saying, 'I'm okay' 'Everything will be fine', but my body did not follow along, making me to feel more pain.
Anyways, Super Junior is making the comeback on November 6. Since it is a long-awaited comeback, me and my members, as well as our fans are looking forward to it.

But I think that I will not be able to fully participate in the comeback promotions. I am so sorry for the members and my fans, but I just don't have the confidence.

I can't stand my face to my members and fans, but if I can make the excuse of 'I will actively promote on variety shows instead', I will cheer up and receive physical therapy with a grateful mind.

I'm finishing up this lengthy post by apologizing to anyone who possibly felt uncomfortable while reading this message full of selfishness.

In response to Kim Heechul's message above, Super Junior's management label―Label SJ issued a statement denying following news reports.

The agency stated, "There has been some misinterpretation toward Kim Heechul's Instagram post. The post that he wrote is due to his worries about his ankle pain ahead of Super Junior's comeback. Kim Heechul will take his part in the group's comeback promotions as planned."
Meanwhile, Super Junior's seven members―Heechul, Yesung, Donghae, Siwon, Leeteuk, Shindong and Eunhyuk are expected to make their comeback on November 6.
