[SBS Star] Yook Sungjae Shares the Moment in His Life When He Was the Most Embarrassed

K-pop boy group BTOB's member Yook Sungjae talked about the moment in his life when he was so embarrassed that he wished he could turn back time.

On one past episode of KBS' talk show 'Happy Together 4', Yook Sungjae joined the show as a special host.

During the talk, the hosts and guests bravely opened up about some of their embarrassing moments from the past.

As lots of people plucked up their courage to reveal such stories, Yook Sungjae also decided to just go ahead and reveal one as well. Yook Sungjae said with a laugh, "Over the past 20 so years of my life, I had never been so embarrassed than this."

Yook Sungjae said, "One day, I opened Naver (one of the biggest Korean online platforms) to search my name. I got really shocked, because there was a writing next to the search bar that said, 'Happy birthday, Yook Sungjae.' It was the day of my birthday, and I thought it was a birthday ad that my fans had prepared for me." He carried on, "You know, no other celebrities were given this sort of birthday gift before; not even the top celebrities. I was so touched that I captured the screen on my phone and uploaded it on my social media."

Then, he explained why it was embarrassing, "It turned out, I had filled in my date of birth in the section where it asks for your information when you sign up with Naver. So, the congratulatory message just automatically popped up on the first page of the website, as I was signed in." As soon as Yook Sungjae was done telling the story, the production team handed the hosts this embarrassing post that Yook Sungjae had posted on his social media.

Just like Yook Sungjae said, it was a screenshot of the congratulatory message next to Naver's search bar. Under this screenshot, Yook Sungjae, who had no idea that all the other members of Naver were congratulated on their birthday in the same way, commented, "Whoa! What is this? I'm so touched!"

He excitedly continued, "Thank you, BTOB, my family, MELODY (the name of BTOB's fan club), and everyone else! I will keep working hard so that you can keep loving me. Have a lovely day! That is my birthday wish. Good night."

While the hosts were reading this out loud, Yook Sungjae blushed and laughed at the same time. Meanwhile, Yook Sungjae appears on SBS' television show 'Master in the House', which is aired every Sunday at 6:25PM KST.
