On April 27, the historic meeting of North Korea's current leader Kim Jong-un and President Moon Jae-in of South Korea is held on the southern side of the Demilitarized Zone.
Moreover, the last meeting of the leaders from North Korea and South Korea happened in 2007, and it makes the meeting of leader Kim and President Moon more significant.
Several Korean celebrities responded to the joyful news by giving a message about the event to the public.
Actor Jung Woo Sung, for instance, left a video on his social media account on April 19, saying, "The slogan of the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit is peace for the start of new beginning."
In addition to Jung Woo Sung, actor Jang Keun Suk released a short video as well.
Besides two actors, actress Kong Hyo-jin and LeeTeuk of K-pop boy band Super Junior left messages on their social media accounts.
With a short video, Kong Hyo-jin said, "I have seen various films and dramas related to the division of Korea. They were all about people from two Koreas building relationships yet falling apart at the end."
LeeTeuk left a concise, cheerful message on his social media account.
