SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) continues to captivate audiences with its unexpected twists and turns. The episode aired on March 28th was particularly jaw-dropping as it unveiled the true birth secret surrounding the main character, Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik). It turns out that Seo Dong-joo's real father is not Yeo Soon-ho (played by Joo Sang-wook) but Heo Il-do (played by Lee Hae-young).
Previously, Seo Dong-joo believed Yeo Soon-ho was his biological father. Under hypnosis, he recalled that Heo Il-do was the one who pushed the car carrying him, his mother, and Yeo Soon-ho off a cliff. Heo Il-do had been trying to kill Seo Dong-joo multiple times under the orders of Yum Jang-sun (played by Heo Joon-ho). Seo Dong-joo was furious, thinking he might be half-siblings with his love interest, Yeo Eun-nam (played by Hong Hwa-yeon), and that Heo Il-do had killed his parents.
However, this was not the case. Seo Dong-joo discovered that Heo Il-do was his real father while reviewing documents to find leverage against Yum Jang-sun. He stumbled upon a recording of Yum Jang-sun discussing the secret of his birth. At that moment, a mysterious envelope arrived for Seo Dong-joo, containing a DNA test result proving his biological connection to Heo Il-do.
The only people aware of this shocking truth are Seo Dong-joo's allies, Bae Won-bae (played by Lee Yoo-joon) and Myung Tae-geum (played by Gong Ji-ho). This raises the question of whether they sent the DNA results to inform Seo Dong-joo or if someone else intended to shock him with this revelation.
Amidst the swirling questions, the production team of 'Buried Hearts' teased, "In episode 13, more truths about the father-son relationship between Seo Dong-joo and Heo Il-do will come to light. These revelations will shake both characters to their core and bring dramatic changes to the storyline. Stay tuned to find out what these truths are and who is behind the scheme."
'Buried Hearts' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
