The suspect in the Paju freezer murder case is being handed over to prosecutors in custody today (the 14th). With many unanswered questions remaining, such as the motive and the presence of any accomplices, attention is focused on whether the full story of the crime will come to light.

On the 4th, a man is escorted by police in handcuffs.
He is Shin, a man in his 30s suspected of trapping and killing a woman in her 60s inside the freezer of a cafe he operated in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.
The police plan to transfer Shin to prosecutors in custody today at noon and brief the public on the investigation results, including the specific motive and circumstances of the crime.
It is reported that Shin frequently lied or contradicted his previous statements during the investigation.
The police are giving weight to the possibility of a financially motivated premeditated crime, noting that Shin, who owes over 1 billion won in debt, rented the freezer about a week before the crime, and that counterfeit department store gift certificates worth 50 billion won were found inside the storage unit.
Shin reportedly even asked an AI a question to the effect of, "What happens if someone is inside a freezer?"
The police have also booked Mr. A, a gift certificate broker who connected Shin and the victim, on charges of counterfeiting securities.
Mr. A drove the victim from Seoul to Paju on the day of the crime, and was spotted getting out of a vehicle together with Shin about five hours before Shin was arrested.
However, it has been reported that it has not yet been confirmed whether Mr. A was involved in murdering the victim.
During today's police briefing, explanations are expected to be provided regarding the extent of Mr. A's involvement in the crime, as well as the identity of a "third person" who was seen in the vehicle alongside others before Shin's arrest.
