Virtual Taekwondo Central Training Center Completed in Muju Taekwond원으로

A dedicated training center for virtual Taekwondo international competitions and athlete development has opened at Taekwondowon in Muju, Jeollabuk-do.

The Taekwondo Promotion Foundation announced on November 2 that it completed the construction of the "WT Virtual Taekwondo Central Training Center" on October 31 and has begun full-scale operations.

In February, the foundation signed a business agreement with World Taekwondo (WT) designating Taekwondowon as the central training center, and construction began in June.

The center consists of eight rooms, including a virtual Taekwondo international competition venue, training facilities, a control room, management offices, an athlete waiting room, a training room, and a viewing area.

It is equipped with international standard courts, large screens, and competition equipment, while about ten screens installed in each room broadcast game footage and tournament brackets in real time.

The first educational program following the completion, the 4th WT Virtual Taekwondo Competition Operator Certification Course, is being held from November 2 to 4, hosted by WT and organized by the foundation.

Following the operator training, the foundation plans to gradually expand related programs by running professional training courses for instructors and athletes through December.

Kim Joong-heon, Chairman of the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation, said, "It is very meaningful to establish the Virtual Taekwondo Central Training Center at Taekwondowon," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that Taekwondowon plays a greater role as a central hub leading global Taekwondo trends by utilizing the virtual central training center."
