Game 3 unfolded as an intense battle right from the start.

After Samsung's Diaz launched a two-run homer to right field in the first inning to take the lead, KIA answered in the second with consecutive RBI hits by Kim Tae-gun and Ha Ju-suk to tie the game. In the third, star player Kim Do-young hit a go-ahead solo home run, his fourth of this postseason, sending the home fans into a frenzy.

After Samsung turned the game around again in the fifth with Ryu Ji-hyuk's two-run shot to right field and made a bold strategic move by bringing in homegrown ace Won Tae-in in relief in the sixth, KIA's Na Sung-bum hit a solo homer to right field to tie the game once more.

The tight balance was finally broken in the seventh inning.

With two outs and a runner on second, Park Seung-gyu drove an RBI double into the right-center gap, giving Samsung a one-run lead once again.

Park roared toward the dugout in celebration, failing to notice a defensive misplay and missing the chance to advance to third base, earning an earful from his coaches. However, he soon crossed home plate for an insurance run on Koo Ja-wook's subsequent RBI single.

Samsung faced a heart-stopping crisis in the ninth with two outs and runners on first and second when they once again encountered Kim Do-young. However, their seventh pitcher, Satoshi, induced Kim into a first-pitch groundout to third base, sealing the 6-4 victory.

Winning two straight games after dropping the series opener, Samsung is now just one win away from reaching the Korean Series.

Samsung will send out Fedde as the starter for Game 4 tomorrow (October 30) as they chase their first Korean Series appearance in two years, while KIA will turn to ace 네일 on just three days' rest in a desperate bid to stave off elimination.
