The morning air remains quite chilly today (October 15).

Currently, temperatures have dropped below 5°C (41°F) in some parts of Gangwon Province and southern inland areas, marked in purple on the map, while Seoul and other regions hover around 10°C (50°F).

Frost or ice may form in some areas, so precautions are necessary for crop management.

Clouds will increase in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, and Jeju today, while other regions will remain mostly clear.

Strong swells will continue to pound the east coast until the morning.

Current morning temperatures start at 5.5°C (42°F) in Chuncheon and 8.1°C (47°F) in Daejeon.

As southerly winds gradually blow in and sunlight pushes temperatures up, daytime highs today are expected to reach 21°C (70°F) in Seoul, and 23°C (73°F) in Gangneung, Daegu, and Gwangju, which is 1°C to 4°C higher than yesterday.

Decent amounts of rain are forecast nationwide on Sunday, continuing into Monday in the southern regions and Jeju.
