"Peeking Like It's a Newlywed's Room"... The Reality of Our Cultural Heritage Being Damaged

Recently, with a significant increase in foreign tourists, footsteps visiting our cultural heritage continue.

However, at Gyeongbokgung Palace, tourists repeatedly puncture holes in traditional paper doors (changhoji), even leading to cases where they are damaged again just a day after being repaired.

On top of this, issues such as unlicensed guides delivering inaccurate historical and cultural information to foreign tourists and controversies surrounding the wearing of Hanfu inside Gyeongbokgung Palace are unfolding.

We examine what is needed to properly protect and promote our cultural heritage amidst the growing number of foreign tourists.
