An eight-member response team from Doosan Enerbility, including its CEO, and a seven-member response team from Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) have also arrived in Nepal.

Since a significant portion of the roads leading to the accident site has been washed away, making vehicle access difficult, rescue operations are reportedly using helicopters to reach the scene.

Six employees from Doosan Enerbility and three employees from Korea South-East Power remain out of contact.

Of the 16 Doosan Enerbility employees at the site, 10 were initially at the office facility before heading across the river to inspect power plant facilities, when the flood reportedly struck.

Because the power plant facilities were located further from the river and on higher ground, the 10 people there became stranded, while contact was lost with the six people who remained near the office facility.

Out of the 10 stranded South Korean employees of Doosan Enerbility, nine have been safely evacuated using a Nepalese military helicopter.
