Han Ro-i Upsets 'Perfect Score' Park Ye-seung on 'The Ballad of Us 2', Securing No. 1 in Monday Variety for 5 Consecutive Weeks

A shocking upset unfolded during the second-round 1-on-1 death match on "The Ballad of Us 2".

During the episode of the SBS show "The Ballad of Us 2" broadcast on November 2, talented vocalist Han Ro-i defeated Park Ye-seung, the first round's historic perfect scorer, to advance to the third round.

According to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast surged to a peak viewership rating of 6.4% per minute, while recording 5.8% for metropolitan households. In addition, it posted a 1.4% rating among the 2049 demographic, maintaining its position as No. 1 in its time slot and among all Monday variety shows for five consecutive weeks, proving its formidable syndrome.

The highlight of the day was the showdown between powerhouse vocalist Han Ro-i and the first-round perfect scorer Park Ye-seung. Selecting Kang San-ae's "Looking at You", which is his mother's favorite song, Han Ro-i delivered an upgraded performance while playing the guitar. On the other hand, Park Ye-seung completed a heartfelt stage by singing Roy Kim's "If You Ask Me What Love Is", his father's favorite song.

Following a fierce battle, Han Ro-i claimed victory. Stunned by the elimination of Park Ye-seung, who had been a strong favorite to win, Jung Seung-hwan could not hide his shock, exclaiming, "How can this be?"

Meanwhile, visual center Park Dae-hee went straight to the third round with 116 votes amid love calls from Jung Jae-hyung and BIBI, performing Cho Ha-moon's "If You Come Into My Heart". Tone fairy Shin Chae-won also dramatically survived by defeating Lee Yu-bin by just a 2-vote margin with a lovely reinterpretation of Yoon Jong-shin's "Reincarnation".

"The Ballad of Us 2", which continues to heat up with unexpected twists, will air at 10:00 PM on Monday, November 9.
