On a deepening autumn night, sweet piano melodies of Chopin captivate the audience.

The performer is world-renowned pianist Kim Jun-hee, a native of Incheon.

To celebrate the upcoming Incheon Art Show next month, he presents an unconventional stage by spontaneously selecting and performing major pieces by Chopin.

Some 800 local residents were invited to this charity performance, which included commentary by the performer.

[Kim Jun-hee / Pianist : "I thought about wanting to plate and serve the pieces I choose on the day, piece by piece, to everyone based on the emotions I feel on that day."]

A voluntary citizens' group has also been formed for the development of arts and culture in Incheon.

This carries the meaning of broadening interest in art and citizen participation in a local community where the cultural and artistic foundation is weak compared to a city of 3 million people.

Major local organizations and the educational sector, including the Incheon Medical Association and Incheon National University, have also decided to lend their support to the development of Incheon's arts and culture.

[Park Chul-won / President, Incheon Medical Association : "Our members will participate extensively in the art event, and if there are areas where our medical association can provide support for the art event, we will support them together..."]

Marking its 6th anniversary this year, the 2026 Incheon Art Show will showcase some 6,000 works not only by local artists but also by major contemporary art masters.

[Jung Kwang-hoon / Chairman of the Board, Incheon Art Show Organizing Committee : "This year's Incheon Art Show has the theme of the origin of K-art, and a large number of works based on traditional Korean materials such as lacquer, soil, and mother-of-pearl will be presented."]

The 2026 Incheon Art Show will be held for four days starting November 19 at Songdo Convensia in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.
