Turn to Chilly Weather Again Tomorrow… Mind the Wide Temperature Gap

The air feels quite different from yesterday (October 12).

As you can see, cold air is moving down from the northwest behind the rain clouds.

The low-pressure system that brought today's rain will move out toward the East Sea (Donghae) tomorrow, and as high pressure expands from the west, South Korea will be under a west-high, east-low pressure pattern with strong winds tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning's low in Seoul is expected to drop to 9°C (48°F), marking the lowest temperature so far this autumn.

With strong winds also blowing, the sensible temperature is expected to feel even lower.

Other regions will also see sharp drops, with Paju falling to 6°C (43°F) and Cheorwon to 5°C (41°F), making it chilly as some inland areas drop to around 5°C (41°F).

Today's daytime highs also plummeted by about 9°C compared to yesterday.

Tomorrow's daytime temperatures will remain similar to today, but the daily temperature range will widen significantly to over 10°C (18°F).

You will definitely need to bring a warm outer garment tomorrow.

Light rain is expected to continue in the western coastal areas of Honam until tonight, while skies nationwide will clear up tomorrow.

Looking closely at morning temperatures, Seoul will be 9°C (48°F) and Chuncheon 7°C (45°F), dropping significantly by up to about 10°C compared to today.

Daytime highs will reach 20°C (68°F) in Seoul and 21°C (70°F) in Daegu and Gwangju, generally lower than today.

Temperatures will gradually rise again as the week progresses toward the latter half.

Rain is forecasted for Gyeonggi Province and northern Gangwon Province on Thursday, and nationwide again on Sunday.
