Wide Temperature Ranges Expected Tomorrow on 'Hanno' Solar Term

Today (October 7), clear skies and wide temperature ranges continued under the influence of a high-pressure system.

As the high-pressure system gradually moved eastward compared to yesterday, the wind direction also shifted to relatively mild westerly winds.

As a result, daytime temperatures in Seoul rose close to 25°C (77°F) today, making it feel rather warm for those who were active outdoors.

Similar weather conditions will continue tomorrow.

Morning temperatures in Seoul will rise to 12°C (54°F) and daytime temperatures to 24°C (75°F), resulting in very wide temperature gaps.

Tomorrow marks Hanro, one of the 24 traditional solar terms.

It is the solar term when the weather turns chilly and cold dew begins to form.

The formation of dew during this period is closely related to the wide temperature differences.

Especially on clear and calm days like these, heat from the earth's surface radiates away during the night, causing temperatures to drop rapidly, while daytime temperatures rise sharply due to sunlight, resulting in extreme temperature fluctuations.

You will need to take good care of your health now more than ever.

Tomorrow will also be clear nationwide with dry atmospheric conditions.

Morning temperatures will start at 8°C (46°F) in Chuncheon, similar to today, while daytime temperatures will rise to 24°C (75°F) in Seoul, and 26°C (79°F) in Gwangju and Daegu.

During the upcoming Hangeul Day long weekend, the central regions will remain clear, but there are forecasts of rain for the southern regions and Jeju between Saturday and Sunday.
