A man who caused a disturbance on a building rooftop, demanding that his ex-girlfriend be brought to him, has been apprehended by the police.

The Incheon Michuhol Police Station announced today (September 20) that they have booked and are currently investigating a man in his 30s, identified as A, on charges including violations of the Narcotics Control Act, after he caused a disturbance while suspected of drug use.

At around 10:00 PM on September 18, A created a disturbance on the rooftop of a multi-family housing unit in Juan-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, demanding that his ex-girlfriend be called out.

Police dispatched upon receiving a report persuaded A and safely brought him down to the ground.

Reportedly, however, A was caught attempting to secretly discard a syringe while moving to a police box with the officers.

Suspecting that A likely administered drugs using the syringe, the police booked him under charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Police plan to conduct a drug test on A to confirm whether he actually ingested drugs, while also investigating additional charges, such as whether he stalked his ex-girlfriend.

A police official stated, "Taking into account A's condition at the time and public safety, we placed him under emergency hospitalization," adding, "We plan to summon A soon to investigate the specific details of the incident."
