From yesterday, July 17, until now, heavy rainfall has caused damage in various places, with Paju recording 197mm and Eunpyeong-gu in Seoul receiving 158mm of rain.
While heavy rain warnings have been lifted and the rain has subsided in areas including Seoul, some parts of southern Gangwon Province and the western inland regions of South Gyeongsang Province are still experiencing heavy downpours.
Starting tonight, another round of concentrated heavy rain is expected, mainly in the central regions, North Gyeongsang Province, and North Jeolla Province, so please continue to take precautions.
An additional 150mm or more of rain is expected in North Chungcheong Province, other parts of the Chungcheong region, northern North Gyeongsang Province, and inland Gangwon Province. In particular, northern parts of the Chungcheong region could see more than 200mm of additional rainfall.
Seoul is expected to receive an additional 10 to 60mm of rain through tomorrow.
Meanwhile, heatwave advisories have been reissued for the southern regions. Today, daytime highs are expected to reach around 33°C (91°F), leading to sweltering conditions in some areas.
