Strong monsoon rains will continue in various parts of the country throughout the rest of the holiday period.
The rain will persist, alternating between intensity.
Looking at the current radar imagery, rain clouds are moving eastward, passing through Gangwon Province and the northern parts of North Gyeongsang Province. Heavy rain advisories remain in effect for several areas in Gangwon Province.
Going forward, heavy downpours of up to 150mm or more are expected, mainly in the inland regions of Gangwon, South Chungcheong Province, and northern North Gyeongsang Province. North Chungcheong Province could see up to 200mm or more of rain, while Seoul is expected to receive an additional 10 to 60mm.
Since many areas have already been hit by heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm, please avoid all outdoor activities near mountainous areas and stay in a safe location.
The stationary front will continue to move up and down, leading to many days of monsoon rain until the latter part of next week.
