A woman left alone with her high school daughter after losing her husband was offered a helping hand. It was her older brother's brother-in-law's wife. Claiming she had worked at a judicial scrivener's office for over 10 years, she offered to handle a lawsuit so the woman could receive her late husband's death benefits. Over the span of two and a half years, the money handed over to her reached nearly 30 million won. Claiming they could receive about 100 million won in insurance payouts, she even made the woman take out loans to meet her demands for money. However, the anticipated insurance payout never came, and the lawsuit had never been filed in the first place. Exploiting family trust, a scam continued for over two years. We uncover the full story.
