A probationary female police officer has claimed that after finishing a night shift, she got into a senior officer's car and was driven to Sokcho in Gangwon Province against her will, prompting the police to look into the facts.
According to the Incheon Samsan Police Station, Officer A, assigned to a local precinct, reported to her precinct team leader yesterday (October 27) that she had experienced such inappropriate behavior from Senior Officer B, who is on the same team.
Officer A rode home in Senior Officer B's car after finishing an overnight shift at the precinct last month, accompanied by one other police officer.
Officer A reportedly claimed that after dropping off the other officer, Senior Officer B drove to the Gapyeong Rest Area while she was asleep, and that even after she expressed her intention to return home, he drove her to Sokcho in Gangwon Province and even tried to order alcohol at a restaurant.
The police have transferred Senior Officer B to a different precinct and plan to summon the involved parties to verify the facts.
Incheon police stated, "If the allegations are confirmed to be true, we plan to launch a formal inspection," adding, "We cannot confirm detailed information due to concerns over secondary victimization."
