Former BIGBANG member Seungri (36, real name Lee Seung-hyun) will become a father in January next year.
On the 28th, Ilgan Sports reported, citing Seungri, that his non-celebrity wife is currently pregnant and is expecting to give birth early next year.
Seungri's side stated, "He is naturally legally married to his wife, and reports that they 'got married because of a pregnancy' are not true." They added, "Currently, we are not considering holding a wedding ceremony." The couple is currently focusing on prenatal care. Seungri's wife is known to be a non-celebrity in her 20s.
In August, Seungri was sued on charges of threatening and assaulting another customer at a restaurant in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Attorney Yoon Jae-bin of Law Firm Surim, Seungri's legal representative, denied the charges in a statement on the 23rd, saying, "It is true that he picked up a soju bottle, but he never swung or struck anyone," adding that he will faithfully cooperate with the investigation.
