The armed conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels is spiraling into a relentless cycle of bloody retaliatory strikes.
The Houthi rebels claimed that Sana'a Airport in the Yemeni capital, which they control, was airstriked, and another set of explosions echoed through downtown Riyadh, the Saudi capital, where King Khalid Airport had previously been attacked.
The Houthi rebels claimed on the 11th (local time) that Sana'a International Airport in the Yemeni capital, under their control, was attacked once again by the Saudi-led coalition.
Al-Masirah TV, a media outlet operated by the rebels, pointed the finger at Saudi Arabia as the mastermind behind the attack without disclosing specific details of the damage.
Immediately following the rebels' announcement, AFP reported that powerful explosions of unknown origin echoed at least twice in the center of the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Three residents living in northern Riyadh also reported hearing another loud explosion.
A resident in the Al-Arid district of northern Riyadh told the news agency, "Right after the explosion, birds flew away in panic and the entire house shook."
In connection with this, the Saudi-led coalition stated that an unidentified projectile struck Terminal 4 of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The coalition added that the attack caused a fire, and authorities deployed to the scene are directly carrying out firefighting and cleanup operations.
Just a day after a major disaster the previous day that left 12 dead and some 300 injured, King Khalid Airport was attacked once again, plunging all of Riyadh into extreme tension.

However, the Houthi rebels have not explicitly claimed responsibility for the King Khalid Airport attack that left 12 people dead.
