Shin Yu-bin and Im Jong-hoon have climbed to the top of the mixed doubles event at the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash.
Trailing on the brink of defeat with just one point away from losing, they staged a dramatic comeback by scoring seven consecutive points.
Down 2-1 in games against Chinese Taipei's Lin Yun-ju and Cheng I-jing, the Shin Yu-bin and Im Jong-hoon pair faced a 10-3 deficit and match point in the fourth game.
That was where the epic comeback began.
Capitalizing on opponent errors to spark their chase, Im Jong-hoon's bold attacks succeeded one after another as they reeled off seven straight points to force a 10-10 deuce.
Though they conceded another point to find themselves back on the edge, Shin Yu-bin skillfully handled a ball that trickled over after hitting the net, ultimately capturing the fourth game to level the match.
After completing the comeback by winning the final fifth game, Shin Yu-bin gave Im Jong-hoon a thumbs-up, while Im Jong-hoon knelt down in front of the bench to celebrate their hard-fought come-from-behind victory.
