As this year's Chuseok holiday comes to an end, a Chuseok calendar from 56 years later in 2082 has been drawing attention online.
While this year's Chuseok gave people a 4-day break including the weekend, in 2082, a 9-day holiday is expected to be possible without having to use any annual leave.
A post titled "The Best Chuseok Holiday Ever" was uploaded to an online community.
The post included an image of a calendar showing the Chuseok holiday in October 2082, where the Chuseok holiday runs from October 5 to October 7.
With October 8 designated as a substitute public holiday and October 9 being Hangeul Day following consecutively right after, people will be able to take a total of 9 days off, including the weekends before and after.
However, this is calculated on the premise that the current public holiday and substitute holiday systems remain unchanged 56 years from now, meaning the actual holiday schedule 56 years later could change depending on future revisions to laws and regulations.
Regarding this, internet users reacted with comments such as, "Will I even be alive by then?", "I'll be at an age where holidays won't matter to me by 2082", and "I just need to hang in there."
